Oshoala stripped of Super Falcons' captaincy as mighty reason emerges

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Asisat Oshoala was stripped of the Super Falcons' captaincy 30 months after being handed the armband by former coach of the Nigeria's women senior national team Chris Danjuma.

In September 2019, Chris Danjuma took the Super Falcons' armband from Desire Oparanozie due to her fallout with those in charge of the Nigerian Football Federation.

Desire Oparanozie made some comments which did not go well with the country's football chiefs and an order was sent for her to be stripped of the captaincy.

Luckily for Asisat Oshoala, she was named the captain of the Super Falcons inspired the Nigerian women team to Turkish Women's Cup triumph.

Nigerian Football authorities gave the directives and passed it to Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum ahead of their friendly with Canadian women national team.
