Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that ahead of the start of the 2020/2021 NPFL season, American parents of a 15-year-old footballer have reached out to Kano Pillars to sign their ward.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus in March, football activities are yet to return in the Nigerian league, but a proposed date of December 6, 2020, has been marked for the start of the new season.

With many clubs doing business and signing players during the period of inaction, a picture purportedly claiming Kano Pillars signed a young American went viral on social media.

Media officer of the club, Idris Malikawa, disclosed the youngster is not yet registered, as his parents only presented him for training.
