- Kelechi Iheanacho has received a huge recommendation from Jamie Carragher to become a Premier League prolific goalscorer
- The Nigerian international was on song for the umpteenth time when Leicester City defeated Crystal Palace
- Carragher believes the Foxes will not be missing Jamie Vardy when he moves on from the King Power Stadium
Kelechi Iheanacho has proven to become Jamie Vardy's long term replacement according to Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, Daily Mail.
The 24-year-old has been on target in his last 14 games and the Foxes do not seem like missing their prolific goalscorer Vardy.
The Super Eagles striker once again posted a brilliant individual performance against Crystal Palace after going down by 1-0 at half time.
Iheanacho gave the assist to Timothy Castagne for the equalizer before scoring an outrageous goal to secure three points for Brendan Rodgers's side and pushed them closer to a Champions League berth next season.
Carragher who was a pundit on Sky Sports waxed lyrical about how important the Nigerian international has become for the King Power outfit.
And suggested that Iheanacho would fit into the shoes of former England international Vardy when he moves on from Leicester.
Carragher told Sky Sports:
"He was the best player on the pitch by a long way.
"For so long this team, Leicester have been spoken about as a Jamie Vardy team. If Vardy's injured Leicester will struggle or what about (when Vardy leaves) in two or three years time? How will they replace him?
"And you look at him (Iheanacho) right now, he's been there a few years, it hasn't worked out, he cost £25m to £30m, but he's shown what he's about."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Kelechi Iheanacho is currently one of the most in-form players in the Premier League as he helped Leicester City defeat Crystal Palace to cement their status in the Champions League spot.
Kelechi's club and international teammate Wilfred Ndidi has become his hype man both in and outside of the pitch, and this time the midfielder came with another soap-cutting request.
It all started when the former Man City striker scored the all-important winner against Southampton in the FA cup semi finals as the Foxes made it through to the final after many years.
