Italian giants Napoli are reportedly willing to extend Victor Osimhen’s five-year-deal for a further year and also improve his wage to five million Euros.
It was gathered that the 22-year-old forward will put pen to paper and now earn higher salary, but a very high clause is also expected to be etched in the contract.
Last summer, Napoli completed the transfer agreement for the youngster for fee plus an array of potential bonuses that took the deal up to €50million (about N23billion).
The two clubs, Lille and Napoli, signed the final relevant documents with Osimhen having already passed a medical with the Serie A club in Rome a week earlier.
The forward, who had spent just 12 months with Les Dogues, joins on a 5-year contract, with the option to extend that deal by a further sixth year.
Despite having a poor start to his maiden Serie A season, Osimhen scored 10 league goals in 24 matches as he looked to find his form at the latter stages of the campaign.
And that seemed to have prompted Napoli to make a move to tie him down for a further year according to reports filtering in from Italy.
Gazetta reports via Tuttonapoli:
"Victor Osimhen, problems aside, convinced after his first season with the Napoli shirt, which is why De Laurentiis is thinking of renewing his contract.
"He currently earns 4.5 million euros a year. We are also thinking of a clause to be included in excess of one hundred million euros."
It would be recalled that the former youth international made an impressive mark in France in his debut season, scoring 18 goals and six assists across competitions for Lille before he moved to Italy.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Victor Moses' temporary move from Chelsea to Russian outfit Spartak Moscow will be made permanent this summer, Complete Sports reports.
The former Nigerian international had a successful spell with the Moscow based outfit and earned them a Champions League spot next season.
The 30-year-old's initial deal with the club is to make a permanent switch if he fits into their plans for the future and it has now become a reality.
The people's Team will now pay €4.5million for the winger who has spent most of his career on loan moves around England, Italy, Turkey and Russia.
