Jose Peseiro Gets 3 Months' Salary Out of 10 As Nigeria's Coach From NFF

Jose Peseiro who is the handler of the Super Eagles has been paid $210,000 (about N156,400,000) which was for three months out of the ten he is being owed by the Nigerian Football Federation.

The Portuguese tactician was appointed as Super Eagles coach in May 2022 following the inability of the three-time African champions to qualify for the World Cup.

Former Nigerian international Austine Eguavoen was in charge of the Super Eagles during the 2022 World Cup play-offs between Nigeria and Ghana.

Recently, Peseiro was asked by a Nigerian reporter in Abuja at a press conference to speak about him being owed by the NFF, but the former Venezuela coach said he would only reveal such information to his wife.

Peseiro's monthly salary from NFF

Under the contract Peseiro signed with former NFF board led by Amaju Pinnick, he agreed to collect $70,000 every month.

According to the report on Naija Footballer, the new NFF president Ibrahim Gusau ordered the payment of three months and also promised that his board will sort the remaining months.

Peseiro’s contract as Nigeria coach extended

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Jose Peseiro's contract as Super Eagles gaffer was reportedly extended until 2024, which means the Portuguese tactician will be in charge of the team for AFCON in the Ivory Coast.
