Bright Osayi-Samuel has been praised by fans for his incredible performance for the Super Eagles in their win over Guinea-Bissau on Monday night, March 27, in AFCON qualifiers.

Three days after losing the first fixture in Abuja, the Super Eagles returned back to winning ways even though they had to win via a penalty scored by Moses Simon.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has some chances to score for Nigeria in this game, but he was unable to find the back of the net against the hosts.

Osayi-Samuel made a superb run into the box of Guinea Bissau and was brought down which gave Nigeria a penalty.

The Fenerbahçe wing back has now been praised for his game with many claiming that he should cement his place in the first team.

He was energetic and it was one of his bursting runs that gave Nigeria the penalty which was converted by Moses Simon. He was also responsible for keeping the dangerous Jorginho quiet.

The 25-year-old made his debut for Nigeria against Portugal in international friendly, and he has now featured in three games.

Amunike wants to coach Nigeria

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Emmanuel Amunike stated emphatically that he is interested in coaching the Super Eagles adding that he is capable of changing the fortunes of the three-time African champions.

During his active days as a footballer, Amunike was one of the biggest Nigerian players in history as he played for Barcelona and was part of the Super Eagles squad that won the 1994 African Cup of Nations.

Interestingly, that same year, Amunike was also named the African Best Footballer thanks to his incredible performances for Zamalek and the national team.

Amunike explained that he wants to be in charge of the Super Eagles on his own and not as an assistant.
