Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho has now entered the English FA Cup’s top ten scorer’s chart following his goal against Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday, February 28.

It was his third FA Cup goal of the season, taking his tally in all competitions this campaign to six, as he continues his resurgence.

Blackburn came from behind to score two goals as Leicester City lost 2-1 to crash out of this season’s competition.

Daniel Amartey hails Iheanacho

Sports Brief earlier reported that Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey has praised teammate Kelechi Iheanacho after netting the winner in the FA Cup clash against Walsall.

The Ghanaian defender lauded Iheanacho for his latest mark, insisting the competition was made for the Nigerian. He told Leicester City media:

“I think this tournament is for Kelechi. I will say that because every game he will come in and score in this tournament. I'm happy for him."
