Lookman's goal against Sampdoria was his 12th this term in his debut season in Serie A and he is just one goal behind Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen on the other hand has also been in good form for Napoli this season as his club are topping the Serie A table.

Lookman vows to beat Osimhen

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Ademola Lookman vowed to edge fellow compatriot Victor Osimhen to the Serie A top scorer award by the end of the season.

No African has won the prestigious prize in Italian football, but Osimhen and Lookman top the scorer’s chart so far this season.

Osimhen has scored 13 times in 15 league appearances in the ongoing campaign, while Lookman on the other hand has scored 11 goals in 18 outings for Atalanta.

The 25-year-old is, however, confident he can turn the table against his international teammate.
