  • Emmanuel Dennis could be out of Premier League club Nottingham Forest just after five months
  • The Nigerian international has been far from impressive for the club, starting just three games
  • Nottingham is prepared to bolster the squad this season, and some players will need to leave

English Premier League club Nottingham Forest is prepared to offload Nigerian international Emmanuel Dennis who joined last summer.

The Super Eagles forward joined the Premier League returnees for an agreed fee of about £20million.

Emmanuel Dennis was impressive for Watford during the 2021/2022 season netting 10 goals and also creating six assists, but it could not help the club which eventually got relegated.

His move to Forest has not been of much impact as he only managed to start three games so far this season, scoring just one goal.

Complete Sports reports that the club manager Steve Cooper is prepared to bolster his squad in January, but they must first offload some players.

It was gathered that Dennis is one of the players they are looking to allow to leave before the end of the winter transfer window.

The Nigerian will then have an option of moving abroad, but if he wants to remain in England, he would only be eligible to return to Watford.

According to the English FA rules, players cannot play for three teams in the same season.

Watford players celebrate Dennis’ departure

Meanwhile, footage has shown Watford players celebrate as Nigerian international Emmanuel Dennis dumped the club to join Nottingham Forest.

Some Watford players are happy that the Nigerian has departed the club as it was gathered via Daily Mail that the squad at Vicarage Road were delighted to see the back of him.

Further reports claim the players believe there will be a far more harmonious place following his departure.

Nigerians blast Emmanuel Dennis

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerians took to various social media platforms to lambast the Super Eagles following their embarrassing 4-0 loss to Portugal in an international friendly.

Even without captain Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese team ran riot and thoroughly sent a warning as they head to Qatar for the World Cup.

It was a poor night for Nigeria as striker Emmanuel Dennis also missed a penalty as his tame effort was saved by Rui Patricio.
