Drury disclosed that the line 'he was so good they named him twice' is top of his description of Okocha.

Although he did not get to run commentary on many games involving the African football legend, he admits Okocha was a pure entertainer with the ball at his feet.

"He was just a beautiful conjurer," he started as he spoke to SuperSport TV. "And he was one of those who understands how lucky he is to be a professional football," he added.

Drury talked about Okocha always playing with a smile, true to his skills as 'an entertainer, a juggler, a conjurer; a dancer'.

"He played for Bolton who are not winners, but they qualified for Europe under Sam Allardyce. When he was there, you didn’t need floodlights. He lit the place up."

Okocha enjoyed a stellar career playing for Frankfurt, PSG and Bolton Wanderers.

Okocha holds World Cup record

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Okocha still holds the record for the most successful dribbles ever recorded in a FIFA World Cup, 28 years after setting the mark.

He was one of Nigeria’s standout players at the 1994 FIFA World Cup, and the little magician was practically unplayable in the round-of-16 tie against Italy.

Okocha made a total of 15 successful dribbles against the Italians, to set the record for the most successful dribbles in a single Mundial match.

Peter Drury's commentary goes viral

Football commentator Drury produced another epic narration of Lionel Messi's stunning goal against Mexico earlier in the World Cup tournament.

Messi delivered a magnificent performance, as Argentina thumped the North American country 2-0 in a Group C cracker.

The 35-year-old scored a screamer from outside the box just after the hour mark, then provided an assist for Enzo Fernandez, who curled the ball into the top right corner.
