Meanwhile, Osimhen and his teammates are still topping the Serie A table, and they have been tipped to win the title at the end of the season.

Osimhen will now be heading off with the national team, where he is expected to lead the Super Eagles attack against Portugal in an international friendly match.

Fans hoped to see Osimhen in action at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but Nigeria failed to qualify for the competition.

Super Eagles coach makes statement

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro claimed it would be hard for Italian giants Napoli to keep Victor Osimhen when the season comes to an end.

Osimhen has found his rhythm at the Italian outfit and continues to impress on the attack, which has made him a target of many clubs in Europe.

Peseiro stated emphatically that many clubs will surely be interested in the signature of Osimhen when the transfer window opens.

He is already linked with possible moves to Manchester United and Arsenal, with Spanish giants Real Madrid also said to want him in their team.
