What is wrong with Nwosu?

The former Nigeria international is currently down after a stroke and will need serious medical treatment for him to survive.

Nwosu, who won the African Nations Cup with Nigeria in 1980, claimed that he had spent all his savings on treatment as he urged Nigerians to help him.

He played for Nigeria’s senior national team for 11 years and was also part of the Green Eagles at AFCON in 1982, 1984 and 1988.

Sylvester Igboun dumps foreign club

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigeria international Sylvester Igboun, who recently joined Indian side NorthEast United, dumped the club barely a month after signing his contract.

It is believed the 6-cap Super Eagles striker left the club due to poor accommodation, which he had complained about to the team's authorities on several occasions.

Reports have it that the former FC Ebedei star joined the Guwahati-based side on a one-year deal, ahead of the 2022/23 Indian Super League season.

Due to visa issues, the 32-year-old was stuck in Russia and could not feature for his new side in their first two games of the season.
