Jose Peseiro who is the gaffer of the Super Eagles has stated emphatically that his wards have trained well and he is confident that they will triumph over Algeria in the friendly game.

The Super Eagles and Algeria will go head to head on Tuesday night, 27 September, in what is expected to be a tough encounter between these two African giants.

Nigeria have failed to record any win over the Desert Foxes in their last three games played but Jose Peseiro believes the level of readiness of his players can make them triumph this time around.

According to the report on Soccernet, the 62-year-old Portuguese explained that the friendly encounter with Algeria will be tough, but added that they will record a win.

Jose Peseiro's reaction about the tie between Nigeria vs Algeria

“We trained well; we have been trying to introduce some new dynamics, some new methods that will be good for our team.
“The players have adapted well. The players have adapted well both on and off the pitch.
“We are going to play against a good team, it won’t be easy but we have quality. We will fight hard to beat them.”

Andre Ayew claims no player is guaranteed World Cup spot apart from senior members of the team

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Andre Ayew insists no player is guaranteed a place in the World Cup squad unless you are a senior member of the Black Stars.

The Black Stars captain and his teammates are in Spain, preparing to face Nicaragua in their penultimate friendly before the World Cup.

Coach Otto Addo will name his squad for the World Cup in November after fully assessing his players during the friendlies lined up for the team.

Ayew is excited by the inclusion of some new players to the team but admits none is guaranteed a position in the squad.

The Black Stars will face Nicaragua on Tuesday in Lorca, Spain, as part of preparations ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
