Global kit manufacturing company, Nike, has released brand new jerseys for the Super Eagles and other Nigerian national teams.

The American company unveiled the jerseys and kits on Thursday, September 15, as the new apparel was designed in the country's national colours, green and white.

Reports have it that the Nigeria Football Federation recently extended its contract with the company until 2026.

Nike and Adidas have been manufacturing jerseys and kits for Nigeria since the 1990s, and the latest design by Nike looks amazing.

The Super Eagles are expected to wear the new jersey in the international friendly against the Desert Foxes of Algeria on September 27.

Both countries will clash at the famous Miloud-Hadefi Olympic and assistant Super Eagles coach Finidi George says home-based players might not be part of the encounter.

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro is billed to announce his squad list for the fixture any time soon, and NPFL players might not be considered.

They have been inactive for months as the Nigerian local league is on a break.

Meanwhile, Nigerian international Mikel Agu will now be plying his trade in Japan after signing for top division club Shonan Bellmare.

The 29-year-old, who joined on a free transfer, signed a two-year deal with the club and is delighted to be back in action.

The midfielder spent the better part of his career in Portugal as he began with Porto Youth teams in 2010, spending nine years before going on loan to Club Brugge, Vitoria Setubal, and Bursaspor.

Sadiq Umar spotted using crutches

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian international Sadiq Umar has been spotted with crutches a day after he underwent an examination to determine the extent of his injury.
