Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq has expressed happiness after completing a summer transfer move to Real Sociedad from another Spanish La Liga giants Almeria on deadline day.

The lanky forward was superb last season for Almeria in the Serie B helping them to secured promotion ticket to the topflight therefore becoming a target for many clubs.

Villarreal were reported to be the first interested in the signing of Umar Sadiq, but they later pulled out giving Real Sociedad the chance to sign the Nigerian star.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Umar Sadiq explained that he is already looking forward to make a big impact in the Real Sociedad team.

“The most important thing for me is that I am here, I will work hard to get results. The team plays very well, I want to meet my teammates.

Odion Ighalo Scores As Al Hilal Defeats Nwakaeme’s Al Faiha in Entertaining Saudi League Clash

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian international Odion Ighalo was on the score sheet as Al Hilal defeated Al Feiha 2-0 in the Saudi professional league on Wednesday night.

The Super Eagles striker faced off with fellow compatriot Anthony Nwakaeme who recently joined Al Feiha on a two-year deal.

The highly-entertaining encounter saw both teams slug it out as the league leaders got their pound of flesh against the Saudi King’s Cup champions.

Moussa Marega broke the deadlock in the 69th minute of the encounter before Ighalo sealed the win with his side’s second goal in the 86 minute.

The Nigerian international forward had a bit of fortune to thank as he poked home a scramble to double Al Hilal’s advantage.
