Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has scored his first goal of the season in the French Ligue 1 as his club Nantes were forced to a 1-1 draw by Lille on Friday night, 12 August.

Moses Simon and his teammates started the encounter impressively playing in front of their fans as they wanted to record a win which eventually difficult for them.

Nantes' fans waited until the 28th minute before scoring their goal through Moses Simon who fired home an impressive strike to the delight of the club's faithfuls.

The Nigerian star also created two chances, made two key passes and contributed at the other end of the pitch after making six (6) recoveries. But his hard work didn't give Nantes all three points.

Who scored for Lille?

After ending the first half 1-0, Nantes fans were of the thoughts that their players would score more goals in the second half, but they could not but instead conceded.

Ismaily restored parity for Lille in the 76th minute of the encounter as the scoreline ended 1-1.

Moses Simon and his teammates will now hope to work hard before their next League game with the target to win.

It was gathered that the swift winger is looking to play in the English top-flight, where he will join international teammate Taiwo Awoniyi.

Foot Mercato reports via Complete Sports that French Ligue 1 club Nantes are now expecting an imminent offer for the player.

The 27-year-old has also been linked with other English teams, including Brighton & Hove Albion and Leeds United.
