Austrian club SV Guntamatic Ried have announced the signing of Nigerian midfielder Kingsley Michael who has joined the side on loan from Italian outfit Bologna.

The club's chiefs had to sign the Nigerian star due to the injury problems they have been battling with and they see Michael as a player who would help them.

There is no doubt about the fact that Kingsley Michael is one of the best Nigerian midfielders considering his performances even since he started his football career.

Thomas Reicheltshammer who is the sporting director of Ried explained that they are looking forward to have working relationship with Kingsley Michael.

Thomas Reicheltshammer's reaction about signing Michael

"Due to the injuries in the past few weeks, we had to take action, especially in central midfield," Reicheltshammer told the same portal. We deliberately took our time in our search to find a player who fits our requirements profile.
"We think we've found that type of player in Kingsley Michael. He is dynamic and aggressive in duels. It's a win-win situation for both Bologna and us. Kingsley Michael gets game practice with us, we get a very good player."

Super Eagles Striker Agrees Personal Terms to Join Spanish Giants Villarreal in Mega Deal

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq is now on the verge of making a summer move to Spanish La Liga giants Villarreal as the 25-year-old is said to have agreed personal terms with the side.

Those in charge of Villarreal were said to have been convinced with the performances of Umar Sadiq last season at Almeria and made offer to sign the Nigerian striker.

Umar Sadiq who has scored 41 goals in 81 league appearances for Almeria played a key role in the club’s promotion to LaLiga last season.

Umar Sadiq has agreed deal with Villarreal chiefs and they will be announcing his move once medical examination is completed.
