Naira rain as Super Eagles stars turn up in style for popular Nigerian comedian Funnybone's wedding

A good number of Super Eagles stars graced the wedding ceremony of famous Nigerian comedian Funnybone who walked down the aisle with his lover on Saturday, June 18.

Stanley Chibunna, popularly called Funny Bone, and his wife tied the knot in a traditional ceremony as footballers, music artistes and Nollywood stars were also present.

The celebrity took to social media to share adorable photos of himself in their lovely outfits.

Gistlover reports that while his wife was seen rocking a white traditional ensemble, with a bead on her neck and other few accessories, Funny Bone wore the Ishi-Agwu outfit, a red cap and black pants.

Along with the photos, the comedian wrote:

“My World!! My Angel.”

It was gathered that FunnyBone announced on June 1 that he officially engaged his as they were set to wed.

Flaunting a picture of his ring sitting pretty on his lady’s finger, he wrote:

“Finally! I asked politely and she said YES!!! And then my home BOY @akahnnani fine-tuned our hashtag to #StanleysangelWe have a wedding to plan fam.”

And on the traditional ceremony, Super Eagles stars Samuel Chukwueze, Wilfred Ndidi, Kenneth Omeruo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Chidozie Awaziem and Ogenyi Onazi were all spotted.

The footballers were all in a joyous mood as they danced and sang along while the musician delivered a number of ‘sing-along songs’.

Kenneth Omeruo meets with Buhari

Meanwhile, Super Eagles star Kenneth Omeruo met with President Muhammadu Buhari who was in Spain for the Nigerian-Spanish Business Forum in Madrid last month.

The CD Leganes defender expressed delight in meeting the Nigerian president who was on a three-day tour of the Spanish capital.

Spotted at the moment were Sports Minister, Sunday Dare, former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amokachi who is now an assistant to the president resident on sports and other government officials.

Mikel names his best teammates

Sports Brief earlier reported that former Nigerian international Mikel Obi has declared that his favourite teammates during his active days were Chelsea legends Didier Drogba and John Terry.

The 35-year-old played for Premier League club Chelsea between 2006 and 2017 and was part of the squad that won the coveted Champions League trophy during the 2011/2012 season.

The former Super Eagles captain has returned to Nigeria to set up the Back2Base talent hunt in his bid to give back to society.
