Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi could be making a return to England this summer as newly Promoted Premier League side Nottingham Forest are interested in his signature.

Last season, the Nigerian striker had a superb season with Union Berlin scoring 15 League goals which made him a target for some European sides.

There have been talks for Taiwo Awoniyi to return to the Premier League as he previously had a six-year stint at Liverpool without playing any game as the Reds loaned him out.

According to the report on Soccernet, those in charge of Nottingham Forest want to lure Taiwo Awoniyi to their side as they believe the Nigerian striker can help them next season.

Will Union Berlin allow Taiwo Awoniyi to leave?

Union Berlin would accept a fee in the region of €20million for Taiwo Awoniyi and it is now left for Nottingham Forest to roll out money.

Taiwo Awoniyi is currently back in Nigeria where he has been spending time with his friends, family and associate in Kwara State.
