Video has emerged on social media where Super Eagles legend Mikel John Obi was spotted playing street football with fans at Evans square, Ebutte Meta in Lagos.

The Chelsea legend is currently in the country on holiday and he decided to storm the street to play set with local guys who were happy to see the 35-year-old.

Mikel Obi started his football career also on the streets in Jos, Plateau United before going to the zenith of his career in the round leather game.

According to the video spotted on Twitter, Mikel John Obi was in happy mood while playing set with the guys and also urged them to stay united.

When did Mikel start his football career?

Mikel started his football career at the age of 12 when picked as a talented footballer from over 3,000 young talents to play in Pepsi Football Academy.

And from Pepsi Football Academy, Mikel Obi moved to Plateau United where he was between 2002-2004 before traveling to Europe to join Lyn.

He was at Chelsea between 2006-2017 winning all titles at Stamford Bridge.

The media officer of the Leone Stars, Eric Fomba, stated that his side are in Nigeria to claim all three points, but at most, share the spoils.

The Leone Stars secured a 4-4 draw the last time they visit Nigeria as they came from four goals down to earn a point in Asaba.

In a chat with Sports Brief, Fomba disclosed that Sierra Leone mean business and will approach the game differently with the aim of claiming all points.
