Victor Moses on Sunday night, 29 May, produced an impressive performance helping Spartak Moscow to win the Russian Cup beating Dynamo Moscow 2-1 in what was a challenging battle.

Going into this encounter, Spartak Moscow had waited for 19 years without winning the Russian Cup and the current players of the team were determined to record their names in gold.

Nigerian star Victor Moses featured from start to finish and almost scored the opener in the 3rd minute after getting a brilliant pass from Aleksandr Sobolev, but he missed the chance.

And in the 10th minute, Aleksandr Sobolev netted the first goal for Spartak Moscow sending their fans into wide jubilation in the stands.

Did Dynamo Moscow restore parity in the first half?

According to the reports on GOAL and Complete Sports, Dynamo Moscow were unable to restore parity in the first half as Victor Moses and his teammates took the lead into the dressing room after the first 45 minutes.

Players of Dynamo Moscow were aggressive in the second half and waited until the 55th minute before equalizing through Arsen Zakharyan.

However, Quincy Promes scored the winner for Spartak Moscow in the 72nd minute winning the encounter 2-1.
