The Super Eagles camp in Texas, United States of America, is bubbling with excitement following the arrival of some top foreign players.

Nigeria is set to tackle North American giants, Mexico and World Cup-bound Ecuador as the three-time African Champions begin a new era under new coach, Jose Poseiro.

According to a report via the Complete Sports, Super Eagles vice-captain, William Troost-Ekong led the delegation of foreign-based players to the team’s camp in Texas.

Also present in camp are Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, and Semi Ajayi alongside eight players from the Nigeria Professional Football League as more players are still being expected in camp.

The Super Eagles are using the international friendlies as preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers which start in June.

Jose Poseiro arrives Super Eagles camp with three assistants

Meanwhile, newly appointed Super Eagles coach, Jose Poseiro has arrived at the team’s camp in Texas, USA ahead of the international friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador.

According to Daily Post, Poseiro arrived at Nigeria’s camp along with three other foreign assistants that consists of a fitness coach, an assistant coach, and an analyst.

Also in the Super Eagles camp is the first assistant of the team, Finidi George, second assistant, Salisu Yusuf, and goalkeeper trainer, Ike Shorunmu.

Mexico squad arrive in USA ahead of friendly match against Super Eagles

Earlier, Sports Brief reported ahead of the friendly match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, the Mexico squad arrived in the United States on Tuesday morning as the match is slated for Saturday, May 28.

The Nigerian Football Federation earlier confirmed that the Super Eagles will face Mexico national team and tendered an apology for the country's failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The North American side landed in Arlington ahead of the encounter slated to hold at the AT&T Stadium.
