NPFL leading scorer Rafiu Ishaq Kayode has expressed happiness for his maiden invitation into the Super Eagles of Nigeria claiming that its a dream come true for him.

Ishaq has been impressive this season for Rivers United in the Nigerian Professional Football League which has paved ways for him into the national team.

His performances made those in charge of the Super Eagles to call him for the two coming games against Mexico and Ecuador.

According to the report on Complete Sports, Rafiu Ishaq explained that he will grab the chance and prove himself in the national team.

“Excited to be called up to the Super Eagles squad for the friendly games versus Mexico and Ecuador. For me, this is a dream come true and a rare opportunity to wear the colour as well.''

Enyimba striker Victor Mbaoma who also made the list of the invited players stated clearly that he is ready to make Nigerians proud.

Afeez Nosiru confirms readiness to replace Okocha as Nigeria’s new free kick specialist

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Kwara United midfielder Afeez Babatunde Nosiru explained that he can replace Jay-Jay Okocha as new Super Eagles free kick specialist if given the chance for him to prove himself.

Nosiru made this known while speaking exclusively to Sports Brief after being invited to the Super Eagles for the coming two friendly games against Mexico and Ecuador.

While reacting to his invitation to the Super Eagles, the former Niger Tornadoes star thanked God for the gift of life and also expressed appreciation to the coaching crew of the national team for the call-up.

Afeez who is currently being monitored by some clubs in Europe also named former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel as his mentor and idol claiming that he loves the way the Chelsea legend plays.
