Despite playing a 2-2 draw with Antalyaspor inside the Medical Park Stadium on Saturday, April 30, Trabzonspor won their first league title in 38 years.

Nwakaeme who only just got back from an injury was an unused substitute against Antalyaspor but has featured 27 times this season for Trabzonspor, scoring 11 goals in the process.

Abdullah Avci’s men emerged champions and claimed their first title since 1984 as the closest challengers Fenerbahce cannot catch up with them.

They are now unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions.

However, Nwakaeme has refused to renew his contract with Trabzonspor, which runs out by the end of the season.
