Former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr speaks after Nigeria failed to qualify for the World Cup

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has spoken for the first time after Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

The Franco-German was fired by the Nigeria Football Federation shortly after qualifying the team for the World Cup play-off and Augustine Eguavoen was appointed to qualify the team for the tournament in Qatar.

Having played a 0-0 draw with the Black Stars in Kumasi, Ghana held Nigeria to a 1-1 draw in Abuja to proceed to the World Cup proper.
