Nigeria to Receive Huge Amount of Money From FIFA if They Qualify for 2022 World Cup

Nigeria are now on the verge of receiving a massive sum of €12.2m (N5.6bn) from the world's football governing body (FIFA) if they should qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

To get this money from FIFA, the Super Eagles must make sure that they overcome the Black Stars of Ghana in the two-legged play-off with the first battle coming up on Friday night, 25 March.

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will start on 21 November and will end on 18 December as 32 nations are expected to participate in this prestigious tournament.

Who are the reigning world champions?

France are the reigning world champions thanks to their win over Croatia at the 2018 FIFA World Cup which was hosted by Russia.

According to the report on Punch, FIFA decided to increase the money from €10m to €12.2m to help the qualified teams prepare well for the tournament.

Did Nigeria feature at the last World Cup?

Super Eagles of Nigeria participated in the 2018 World Cup in Russia and were in Group D where they played against Iceland, Croatia and Argentina.

Nigeria had the chance of progressing to the knockout if they had gotten a draw against Argentina in last Group game, but they lost 2-1.

Ghanaian spiritualist predicts World Cup Play-Offs in favour of Super Eagles against Black Stars

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles of Nigeria have been favored to progress ahead of Ghana when both teams clash in the final round of the World Cup qualifiers.

Ghanaian spiritualist, Seer Gyan disclosed that Nigeria will get a positive result against the Black Stars in the game to be played at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, 25 March.

Seer Gyan predicted a 1-1 scoreline and revealed the result for Friday's game will determine who goes through to the World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana is bidding for a 4th World Cup appearance and will be heavily supported by their fans after CAF approved a full stadium capacity for the encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Meanwhile, Ghana captain, Andrew Ayew will be cheering the Black Stars to victory after arriving at Ghana's training base ahead of the World Cup play-offs against Nigeria.
