Ademola Lookman has stated emphatically that there is nothing big or special in the rivalry between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of the World Cup play-off.

The Leicester City forward is among the Super Eagles stars who traveled to Ghana for the first leg clash and he could make his international debut for the three-time African champions.

Many things have been said ahead of this encounter with some football followers claiming that Ghana have the edge over the Super Eagles considering their head-to-head record.

These two nations are fighting for the 2022 World Cup ticket which will be held in Qatar.

Lookman explained that there is no pressure in the camp claiming that himself and other teammates will approach the game with all seriousness according to reports on Pulse and Complete Sports.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Daniel Akpeyi warned the Black Stars of Ghana claiming that their better record against Nigeria will be of no importance when the two nations meet in World Cup play-off.

These two West African nations will go head to head in serious fight for the ticket to represent the continent at the 2022 FIFA World Cup coming up in Qatar.

In history, the Super Eagles and the Black Stars have met 56 times with Ghana having 25 wins, while Nigeria recorded 12 victories as remaining 19 games ended in draws.

Ghana will be at home in the first leg against Nigeria on Friday, 25 March, and they will hope they get good result against the Super Eagles ahead of the return leg.

Daniel Akpeyi who could be in goal for Nigeria explained that the important thing is for the Super Eagles to get the World Cup ticket.
