Ogenyi Onazi has explained that his experience will be of great help for the Super Eagles ahead of the 2022 World Cup final play-off between Nigeria and Ghana this month.

After being out of the Super Eagles squad for almost four years, interim manager Eguavoen decided to bring the former Lazio man back into the national team.

But despite being put on the standby list, many Nigerian football lovers were still not happy about Ogenyi Onazi's recall to the Super Eagles.

And according to the report on GOAL and Punch, Ogenyi Onazi explained that he remains an important member of the Super Eagles stressing that he should have even gotten a recall before Rohr was sacked.

''Experience is one major factors ahead of the crucial game against Ghana.
“In football, you do not play games with only experienced players or only young players. There should always be a blend of both the experienced players and the talented ones, so you can have a perfect balance.
“I want to help the team achieve its goal, which is to qualify for the World Cup. It does not matter who is in charge, we must support the coach and his ideas.''

Eguavoen to drop 2 Super Eagles players for tough World Cup play-off against Ghana

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how two players are expected to be dropped from the 25-man Super Eagles squad called for this month's final 2022 FIFA World Cup play-off against Ghanaian national team.

This latest development means that only 23 players will travel to Ghana for the first encounter against the Black Stars which is expected to come on March 25 in Accra.

From this weekend, invited players are expected to be arriving the Super Eagles camp in Abuja where training will commence before the team will travel on March 23.

Names of the players who will be dropped have not been made known when speaking with an official of the Super Eagles Eagles.
