According to Complete Sports, Al Hilal have now recorded their sixth consecutive win since losing 4-0 to Egypt’s Al Ahly in the FIFA Club World Cup in February.

Ighalo has recorded 4 goals in five appearances for Al-Hilal in the Saudi-Arabian Pro League since joining from Al-Shabab in January.

Al-Hilal remains second on the Pro League table with 46 points and is 11 points behind leaders Al Ittihad but has played two games less.

Ighalo's form good news for Super Eagles

Odion Ighalo was recently listed amongst Nigeria's 32-man roster for the World Cup play-offs against Ghana in March.

According to Goal, the 32-year-old striker recently replied to his critics who questioned his invite back to the Super Eagles after he was recalled by coach, Augustine Eguavoen.

Ighalo missed the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the AFCON after his former club, Al-Shabab refused to release the 32-year-old for the tournament.

Super Eagles striker sends strong warning to Ghana

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Odion Ighalo has sent some stern warning to Ghana ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup play-off tie in March after netting the winner for Al-Hilal as they defeated Al Ittihad 2-1 in the Saudi League.

The 32-year old striker restored Al-Hilal's lead in the 68th minute after Haroune Camara of Al Ittihad had canceled out Salem Al-Dawsari's initial strike for the hosts.

Ighalo's goal has now taken his tally for Al-Hilal to four goals in the league in only his fourth appearance for the Saudi Arabian side.
