Paul Onuachu made the headlines again for Genk following their comprehensive 4-0 win over St.Truiden, Goal.

The Nigerian international was among the scorers as he helped the Blue and White extend their seven games unbeaten run in the Jupiler League.

Theo Bongonda set the ball rolling for Peter Maes’ men in the 21st minute and four minutes later Bryan Heynen doubled the advantage.

Kristian Thorstvedt made it 3-0 but Yuma Suzuki had the opportunity to reduce the deficit for St.Truiden but missed a penalty four minutes before the interval.

Onuachu then got his name on the scoresheet in the 53rd minute to make it 4-0 as he took his tally to 27 league goals and 29 in all competitions.

Genk maintained a second spot behind leaders Anderlecht after gathering 56 points from 33 games with just a game left to play.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Paul Onuachu was on target again for his club Genk when they defeated OH Leuven by 3-2 in a week 32 Jupiler League game, Goal.

The Nigerian international took his tally to 26 goals in 31 league matches making him one of the most in-form strikers in Europe.

The 26-year-old scored his side's third goal that made the scores 3-1 which later proved the match-winner despite a late goal from Thomas Henry.

Legit.ng also reported that Paul Onuachu has thanked Nigerians following his late strike that sunk the Squirrels of Benin right in their backyard in Porto-Novo.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the AFCON 2021 showpiece in Cameroon as Onuachu headed home a rebound after a goal-mouth scramble to help his side win 1-0 away from home.

Nigerians had blasted Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for failing to include the Genk striker in the squad despite him scoring 27 goals so far for his club this season.
