Having battled injuries at the start of the campaign, the former FC Nordsjaelland star has seen his game time cut and on Sunday played only eight minutes as Rennais beat Paris Saint Germain.

Sulemana, who was expected to excel at the World Cup, played less than 60 minutes as Ghana were eliminated from the group stage.

Despite his few minutes on the pitch, he managed to end the tournament as the fastest player.

He becomes the second Ghanaian player linked with Everton in the winter transfer window.

Sulemana talks about speed

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has reacted to being named the fastest player at the just ended World Cup in Qatar.

Sulemana recorded the fastest speed during the tournament in Qatar with a run of 22.18mph in the game against Uruguay.

He beat Nico Williams (22.12), David Raum (22.00mph), Antonee Robinson (21.99) and Daniel James (21.99mph) to emerge the fastest at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Newcastle interested Kamaldeen Sulemana

Newcastle United are interested in Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana and could sign the talented forward in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has emerged as an alternative for Leeds United's Jack Harrison after the Toons were put off by the club's asking price of £35million.

According to the Daily Mail, the English Premier League outfit have made enquiries over the availability of the £30million rated Ghana international.
