Sulemana was a menace on the left flank, forcing fouls from the Tottenham defenders and late into injury time the pressure from Southampton paid off with a penalty.

Ward-Prowse made no mistake from the spot as Southampton shared the spoils at home, but it was Sulemana who got all the praise.

Pedro Porro and Harry Kane had earlier scored for Spurs with Che Adams netting for Southampton.

For me no surprise in Kamaldeen Sulemana's performance today. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Six years ago when I saw him as a kid, I knew he was destined for greatness. He is capable of producing much more than he did today.

@_owurakuampofo added:

Southampton needed urgency in the final third for the last 20 minutes of the game and Kamaldeen Sulemana provided just that. Wasn’t afraid to take on players, completing 4/5 dribbles while creating 2 chances during his cameo. There’s a lot more to come from him.
