He was signed for the club on a two-year deal in August.

Isco’s stats for Sevilla

Transfermarkt noted that Isco only played 19 games for Sevilla, scoring one and notching up three assists, this season.

Why was Isco let go?

The Spanish striker was signed by former coach, Julen Lopetegui, but he was sacked in October. It’s believed that he was not part of the new coach Jorge Sampaoli's plans. Isco also fell out of favour at the club after a falling out with Sevilla's sporting director Monchi.

As noted by Football Espana, Isco had an argument with Monchi and later was seen storming out of a training session. He was also left out of the club’s most recent friendlies.

Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez, simply known as Isco, received a warm reception from his former Real Madrid teammates on his return to Santiago Bernabeu.

Isco, whose contract with Madrid expired in June, put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Sevilla in the summer, ending his nine-year spell with Los Blancos, Sports Brief reported.

On his return to his old stomping ground, the Spain international was shown immeasurable love from his old teammates prior to the start of Sevilla's La Liga game against Madrid.
