Tshegofatso Mabasa is ready for life out on loan.

The Orlando Pirates player was unveiled as a Sekhukhune United player yesterday, joining Babina Noko on a season-long loan.

The striker struggled for game time at the Buccaneers and is looking forward to finding his goalscoring form with the Gauteng side, The Citizen reported.

“It’s a great honour to be a part of this growing club. Coming here, what the supporters can expect from me is dedication and goals. But most importantly for me to enjoy my football,” he said.

He also thanked the chairman for the opportunity and his new teammates and coaches for the warm welcome.

He promised that supporters can expect the new-look team to turn losses into draws and draws into wins as they look to finish as high as possible.

Sekhukhune United finished 11th in the DStv Premiership last season, seven points away from securing an MTN8 placing.

Mabasa was a promising talent at Pirates but struggled for game time and form. He has also represented Bafana Bafana at senior level, making his debut against Zambia in the 2018 African Nations qualifiers.

Sekhukhune United are getting preparations underway for the new season by welcoming new players.

The Gauteng-based club unveiled six new players today ahead of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season.

Train Mokhabi, Elias Mokwana, Denwin Farmer, Abednego Mosiatlhaga, Tshegofatso Mntambo and Linda Mabasa were all unveiled by the club as the new coach, Kaitano Tembo, looks to rebuild the squad.

Sekhukhune United's Justin Shonga frustrates management, reports to training under the influence of alcohol

Justin Shonga is not doing himself any favours at Sekhukhune United.

The Zambian striker is reported to be on borrowed time at the club due to his off-field antics.

As reported by FARPost, Shonga has attended training under the influence of alcohol, just one of the few ways in which he has frustrated the management of the club. A source told the publication that Sekhukhune were now considering severing ties with Shonga.
