This is despite, as reported by IOL, a break-in and attempted robbery at the businesswoman's La Lucia residence in Durban over the weekend. According to reports, one assailant was shot and killed by security, though there are conflicting reports that he was instead injured and taken to hospital under police guard.

Former Southampton star robbed

Former Southampton player Emmanuel Mayuka has become the victim to crime.

The Zambian international was fleeced of K90 000 (nearly US$5 000) that he tried to send home while away in Egypt.

According to Zambian Sports, a bank teller and an accountant conspired to withdraw Mayuka's money without his permission and knowledge. It was reported that the 32-year-old was alerted to this suspicious activity by the unnamed bank's manager Simon Kasempe.

Dylan Kerr has become the latest victim of crime in South Africa. The Maltese-born coach was robbed at gunpoint in the township of KwaMashu in Durban. According to Goal, his attackers made off with his cell phone.
