  • Shauwn 'MaMkhize' Mkhize is a woman currently with a lot on her mind following the incidents of the past week
  • The Royal AM owner gave a lengthy update on goalkeeper Patrick Nyame, following a serious injury he suffered against SuperSport United on Wednesday night
  • She also took the opportunity to criticise Matsatsantsa for allegedly not showing any sportsmanship

Royal AM owner Shauwn Mkhize is not happy at the moment.

MaMkhize gave an update on the status of goalkeeper Patrick Nyame, who was rendered comatose after a collision in the DStv Premiership match against SuperSport United on Wednesday night.

Thwihli Thwahla lost the encounter 3-1 at the Lucas 'Masterpieces' Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.

She said in an Instagram post:

"The past two days have been very traumatic for the team and I. Our goalkeeper, Patrick Nyame suffered an almost life threatening head injury in our #DStvPremiership fixture against Supersport on Tuesday. I had to stay the whole night at the hospital completely forgotten about the loss all what I wanted was for him to wake up

You know, one wakes up in the morning excited to go support their team and then the worst thing happens. We had to make a life-changing decision in order to save our keepers life. While it may have looked like a minor incident on TV, it was a severe concussion that affected his head/brain, he was in the ICU and in a coma for two days.
What’s difficult is that you still have to be strong for the rest of the team and tell everyone that everything is going to be okay even if you are not sure. Sbahle’s accident really taught me a lot on how to handle a situation like this.
I am however, disappointed that not a single person from the opposing team has picked up the phone or sent a message to check on his condition. What happened to sportsmanship?!? I guess we are not the same.
I can now confirm that Patrick is conscious but still in hospital. He has been moved from ICU and will now begin his recovery. We wish him well and thank God that he is safe."

Flirty SuperSport United striker Thamsanqa Gabuza directs kisses to Royal AM boss Shauwn Mkhize after scoring

There is 'shooting your shot' and then there is SuperSport United striker Thamsanqa Gabuza.

Gabuza was spotted directing kisses in the direction of Royal AM's businesswoman and celebrity owner Shauwn 'MamKhize' Mkhize, during a DStv Premiership encounter on Tuesday evening, Sports Brief reported.

Gabuza had just equalised for the home side at the Lucas 'Masterpieces' Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville in the 58th minute, when the moment occurred.

A tweet by one @Boromo_M showed photographs of Gabuza running towards a Royal AM contingent in the stands, with 'MaMamkhize' finding the funny side of things.
