The Derby della Capitale between AS Roma and Lazio produced much intensity match and a chaotic atmosphere in Italian football over the weekend.

Lazio won the game 1-0 thanks to a goal from Mattia Zaccagni, but it was a fight at the end of the game that caught the headlines more than the result of one of Italian football's biggest rivalries.

Jose Mourinho was absent on the touchline as he served the second match of his two game ban for the touchline row with assistant referee Sienna weeks ago.

As reported by Forza Roma, Gianluca Mancini and Alessio Romagnoli clashed in the dressing room after the Lazio player celebrated in front of the Roma dressing room.

Mourinho and Claudio Lotito tried to separate the players but got into a fight of their own. Lotito reportedly boasted to Mourinho and told him he was the president of Lazio and asked him who he was.

“What are you looking at?” Mourinho reportedly told Lotito, perhaps using a harsher expression. “I am the Lazio President,” Lotito replied. “Who are you? This is my home and you shouldn’t even be here.”

The pair were separated by Roma's director Tiago Pinto, a man notorious for receiving red cards during his playing days despite being a second-choice goalkeeper.

Mourinho aimed jibe at rivals

Sports Brief earlier reported that Mourinho aimed shots at Juventus and Lazio ahead of the UEFA Europa League quarter-final draw last Friday.

The Special One was not pleased that there had to be a second competition for Juventus after they dropped out of the UEFA Champions League.

He also aimed a shot at Lazio for making UEFA spend more money to ship the UEFA Europa Conference League trophy out of Rome since their City rivals can no longer win it.
