AS Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini has heaped high praises on head coach Jose Mourinho, for his contributions to football and maintaining his winning mentality.
Mourinho joined Roma unexpectedly ahead of the 2021/22 season and wasted no time in announcing himself, by ending the club's 14-year trophy drought.
The Portuguese tactician led AS Roma to win the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League, the first European trophy for an Italian club since Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan won the 2010 UEFA Champions League.
The win endeared the Special One to the Giallorossa fans, as it was their first trophy since the 2008 Coppa Italia.

Pellegrini: Mourinho keeps winning
Mourinho has built a reputation of winning everywhere he goes. Pellegrini praised this mentality in an exclusive interview with Four Four Two, quoted by Voce Giallorossa:
“He is a coach who wrote the history of football. He transformed this sport and still does everything to keep winning. It’s something he instills in us every day. With Mourinho here for a year and a half, I’ve had new sensations. He manages to infuse you with emotions to convey on the pitch.”
Mourinho's haul of 26 major trophies across his managerial career surely agrees with Pellegrini's statement that he wrote the history of football.
Mourinho: master of dirty tactics
As reported by Sports Brief, John Terry, one of Mourinho's former captains, revealed Mourinho's tactics for games of high importance and against rivals.

FootballTottenham, who Mourinho later managed, was one of his biggest enemies. He instructed his Chelsea players to always go out to 'kill them' and make them know who the Blues are.
According to Terry, Mourinho also employed time-wasting tactics in the final minutes of any game they had a one-goal margin to defend, by telling two players to go down in the box after an aerial duel.
