A Roma fan decided to give his girlfriend a proposal she would never forget – in front of Jose Mourinho.

The ‘Special One’ initially posed for a photo with the couple, who initially looked like they simply wanted a photo with the gaffer.

But the male fan had other plans in mind, because as soon as the photo with Mourinho was taken, he turned his attention to his lady and started to profess his love for her.

All this in the presence of Mourinho, who for a brief moment turned into a spectator.

The video of the proposal was shared by Roma through the club’s official social media page, and it was easy to see Mourinho was lost for words, or even what to do next.

Regardless, it was still a beautiful moment that was met by applause once the fan went down on one knee to propose.

Mourinho’s romance with Roma

The Portuguese has barely been with Roma for one year and he has already won fans’ hearts.

In his first full season with the Giallorossi, Mourinho guided them to a famous maiden win in the Europa Conference League.

It might not be the most prestigious trophy out there, but it led to Mourinho getting a unique tattoo on his shoulder.

The tattoo shows off all three European trophies the 58-year old has won in his career, the only manager to win all tiers of European trophies in history.

In his Instagram caption, Mourinho explained the logic behind the new ink, saying:

"This is my tattoo. The joy of the Roman people led me to do it. Then I thought about something special, something that would honour all the clubs where I won European competitions.

"At the same time, I wanted a unique tattoo, one that, so far, I am the only one who can have it…

"Alberto showed me some proposals, I just changed a few details. Here is my tattoo."

Ramsey left out of Juventus plans

Elsewhere, Juventus will be looking to sell midfielder Aaron Ramsey this summer after he was left out of the squad heading to the United States for preseason.

Ramsey is entering the final year of his contract and the club will be keen to offload him for a fee rather than lose him for free.

Head coach Massimiliano Allegri has appeared to send the strongest indication to Ramsey that he won't be part of his squad.
