Jose Mourinho is one of the most successful coaches in football. In as much as many could argue that his prowess has diminished in recent years, the Portuguese manager still has it in him to mount title challenges.

He recently led AS Roma to their first trophy in 11 years by guiding them to the inaugural UEFA Conference League. The triumph was widely celebrated in the streets of Rome and Mourinho will now be looking ahead to the upcoming season.

Roma have hit the ground running in the transfer market by adding Paulo Dybala and Nemanja Matic. The firmer has worked with Mourinho at Chelsea and Manchester United and will need no reintroduction to the dictates of his gameplay.

Givemesport reports that Mourinho has serious squad depth for the upcoming season and apart from challenging for the Serie A title, qualification for the Champions League will be mandatory.

AS Roma's ridiculous squad depth

Upfront, Mourinho will have the luxury of Dybala, Tammy Abraham, Nicolo Zaniolo, Felix Afena-Gyan, and Stephan El Shaarawy just to mention a few.

His midfield is anchored by the club's captain Lorenzo Pellegrini, Matic and Jordan Veretout. The club has also signed Zeki Celik to complement the existing fullbacks in Leandro Spinazzola, Rick Karsdorp and Nicola Zalewski.

Plus they have the Special One. The old guard still has a few tricks up his sleeve.

Marca reports that Mourinho signed a three-year contract and in his first year he has already won a trophy. The second year will be centred on taking Roma back to rubbing shoulders with the Italian elite.

Sports Brief had earlier reported that veteran and accomplished manager Jose Mourinho had revealed a new tattoo.

Mourinho has said that he wants the tattoo to highlight all the European trophies that he has won in his illustrious career.

Mourinho, now in charge of AS Roma, became the first manager to win all the three available European trophies when he led the Italian side to the inaugural UEFA Conference League.
