Italian football legend Francesco Totti has parted ways with his wife and partner of more than 20 years Illary Blasi.

The pair came together in 2002 and tied the knot three years later, but it seems that after two decades of romance, their marriage has come crashing down.

The AS Roma legend’s marriage to Blasi, a TV presenter, has produced three children: Christian, 16, Chanel, 15, and Isabel, 6.

It was Totti, a World Cup winner, who confirmed the break up via a heartbreaking statement.

"After 20 years together, my relationship with Ilary has unfortunately ended. All that I said and did over the last few months was to protect our children, who are and always will be the absolute priority in my life.” He said as quoted on Daily Mail.
