Jose Mourinho Slams Roma Chiefs Over Summer Transfer Activity, Admits Frustration Ahead of New Season

Jose Mourinho has revealed his dissatisfaction with the Roma hierarchy as the Serie A club are struggling to make some additions to his team ahead of the 2022/23 football.

Roma have lost some key first team players this summer with the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Alessandro Florenzi, Robin Olsen and Cengiz Under all leaving the Serie A club.

Mourinho has now disclosed he is frustrated with the Roma’s lack of activity in the transfer market as he has only made three new additions to his squad despite his numerous targets Daily Mirror reports.

Roma have signed three players so far with the club paying for Zeki Çelik who arrived from Lille while Nemanja Matic and goalkeeper Mile Svilar joined the Europa Conference League winners on free transfers.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho has not given up hope on bringing new players to add to the quality he already possesses with his AS Roma side.

According to Football Espana, Mourinho is desperate to sign James Rodrigues for his Serie A club this summer as he believes the Columbian midfielder can make a huge impact in the Roma team.

James Rodrigues is keen to leave Qatari side Al-Rayyan and return to Europe and has rejected an offer from Rio de Janeiro outfit Botafogo in recent weeks.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho seemed to have warned Erik Ten Hag about Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

CR7, last weekend, allegedly told Manchester United to accept offers for him as the striker is desperate to leave the club.
