Nicolò Zaniolo will go down in history after the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League final hosted in Tirana, the capital of Albania.

The 22-year-old midfielder became the first player in history to score in a Europa Conference League final as AS Roma defeated Feyenoord 1-0 Arena Kombëtare. He joined Stade de Reims' Michael Leblond (1956 European Cup final) and Fiorentina's Luigi Milan (1961 European Cup Winners' Cup) as the first players to score in the final of the various tiered European club competition cup final matches.

Incidentally, when the European Cup was changed to the Champions League was changed to the Champions League in 1992-93, Marseille's Basile Boli scored the first goal in that version's final in 1993 at Wembley Stadium, London in a 1-0 victory over AC Milan.

Markus Babbel scored the first goal in a UEFA Cup final after the competition was changed from the Cup Winners' Cup, when Liverpool defeated Deportivo Alaves at the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund in 2001.

Ajax Amsterdam's Johnny Rep was on the scoresheet first in a UEFA Super Cup match in 1973 at the Ibrox Stadium as the Dutch side defeated Rangers FC 3-1.

Jose Mourinho sets unprecedented record after Europa Conference League title win with AS Roma

Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho has set another unprecedented record in European football after guiding Italian side AS Roma to the Europa Conference League title.

As reported by Sports Brief, it's been over 31 years since Roma’s last European final and 14 years since the club’s last trophy but Jose Mourinho has made history with them.

The 59-year-old tactician becomes the first manager to win the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.
