Jose Mourinho will allow Ghanaian teen sensation Felix Afena-Gyan leave in the summer transfer window for regular play time elsewhere, according to GHANASoccernet.com.

The 19-year-old has struggled to get game time at AS Roma lately, forcing the Portuguese gaffer to give the green light for the youngster to leave on loan.

Italian Serie A rivals Sassuolo are reported to be interested in signing the Ghana international in the summer transfer window on a season long loan.

Felix Afena-Gyan had a break through start to his senior career at AS Roma, scoring a brace on his second appearance against AS Roma.

And although he has featured is several games since, he has struggled to add to his tally.

Afena-Gyan has also had only three starts in the Serie A, with the likes of Tammy Abraham and Nicolo Zaniola preferred over the youngster.

Afena-Gyan cameos as AS Roma thump Bodo/Glimt

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana international Felix Afena-Gyan was in action as AS Roma advanced to the semi finals of the 2021/22 UEFA Europa Conference League.

Afena-Gyan and his teammates recorded a 4-0 victory against Norweigian side Bodø/Glimt in a second-leg fixture played at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

The 19-year-old started the game from the bench and he was introduced in the second half after he replaced after he replaced Nicolò Zaniolo in the 60th minute.

Ghana and AS Roma teen talent Felix Afena-Gyan has disclosed his readiness to improve aspects of his game in order to ensure he reaches his full potential.

The Berekum-born attacker has seen his career rise like dough in a breakthrough season that has seen him transition from Roma's junior side to the senior team.

Since his debut for the Giallorossi, where he scored two amazing goals, Afena-Gyan has been a regular fixture in Jose Mourinho's side despite not starting most of the games owing to the form of the prolific former Chelsea hitman Tammy Abraham.
