Real Madrid star finally completes loan move to EPL side Arsenal

- Martin Odegaard has now been confirmed as an Arsenal player following his loan move from Real Madrid

- The 22-year-old will remain at the Emirates until the end of the season after a challenging spell under Zinedine Zidane

- The Norwegian midfielder will wear the No.11 shirt for Mikel Arteta's side during his six-months spell

Martin Odegaard has finally secured a loan move to Premier League giants Arsenal for the remainder of the season, Arsenal.

The Norwegian playmaker has failed to break into Zinedine Zidane's starting XI since returning from a loan spell with Real Sociedad.

He helped the club reach the final of the Copa Del Rey and also qualify for the Europa League in last season's campaign.

The 22-year-old joined Los Blancos since he was 16 and have spent quite a number of seasons away from the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on loan.

Odegaard will wear the vacant No.11 shirt as he was welcomed by club coach Mikel Arteta.

The Spanish boss said:

“It’s great that we’ve secured Martin to come to us until the end of the season. Martin is of course a player that we all know very well and although still young, he has been playing at the top level for a while.
"Martin will provide us with quality offensive options and we’re all excited to be integrating him into our plans between now and May.”

Arsenal's Technical Director Edu also said:

“We are delighted to welcome Martin to the club until the end of the season. I would like to thank everyone at Real Madrid and Martin’s representatives for their collaboration in making this loan move happen.
"Martin is an exceptional talent and we are strengthening our squad by introducing an exciting offensive player to the club for the remaining months of this season.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Martin Odegaard is set to become the third Real Madrid's player to join Premier League club as the Danish midfielder is close to sealing a loan deal to Arsenal, Sport Bible.

The 22-year-old has managed to be in Zinedine Zidane's starting XI in five matches after returning from a successful loan spell at Real Sociedad.

The midfielder was recalled from his loan spell at the end of last season after he flourished under Sociedad boss Imanol Alguacil.
