Real Madrid's tough fixture list

After a disastrous start to the year, things are starting looking up for Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti, who are on a five-game unbeaten run.

Last season's La Liga and Champions League winners won their last two matches, beating both Osasuna 2-0 and Elche 4-0 with relative ease.

Their next seven games in various leagues will define their season, Sports Brief has reported.

Benitez opens up on Madrid tenure

Sports Brief also reported on former Real Madrid manager, Rafael Benitez claiming he was not given a fair shot during his short stint at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

He joined Los Blancos in the summer of 2015 but was sacked after just seven months in charge, following poor results on the pitch and many dressing room troubles.

According to Football Espana, Benitez has now disclosed that his Real Madrid team were not allowed to win because of too many off-pitch clashes of personalities.
