“What happens on the field stays on the field, but it went too far at times. Rodrygo and I suffered a lot in the last few games, and I feared the worst, to get injured, and miss the World Cup.”

Vinicius is anticipated to direct Brazil's assault at the World Cup, where they will play Serbia on November 24 to open Group G play before facing Switzerland and Cameroon.

Vinicius starting place is in doubt

Meanwhile, Vinicius Junior is not expected to start for Brazil when the 2022 FIFA World Cup kicks off in Qatar despite being one of the most in-form players for the Selecao, Marca reports.

The Real Madrid forward’s ten goals and five assists for the La Liga champions put him behind only Neymar among the candidates to start the World Cup.

Lucas Paqueta could feature along with Neymar, Raphinha, and Richarlison in Brazil’s attack for their opening game against Serbia on Thursday, November 24th.

Brazil likely to drop Real Madrid trio

Earlier, Sports Brief reported five-time world champions Brazil will get their World Cup underway against Serbia, in a Group H encounter on November 24.

The South American giants are in the mix to lift the World Cup for the first time since 2002, but it's not going to be handed to them on a plate.

Head coach Tite will be hoping to lead the Selecao to their sixth World Cup title in the Middle East, with the nation having already won the tournament five times.
