Eden Hazard’s recognises his days as a Real Madrid player could be drawing to an end very soon, after a difficult few seasons with the Spanish champions.

Hazard’s stay at Madrid has been one filled with too many disappointments, as the 31-year-old winger has struggled with injuries and loss of form in his three years with Los Blancos.

According to Marca, Hazard has now opened the door on a possible Real Madrid exit as early as next summer. He says he is prepared to leave if the club asks him to.

“But in summer, it is possible that I go. I have one more year on my contract and it's the club's decision. If the club tells me 'Eden, thanks for four years, but you have to go', I have to accept it because it's normal.”

Hazard has only made 6 appearances for Real Madrid this season, with 3 of them in the La Liga, as the Belgium international has fallen down the pecking order at the Spanish champions.

Hazard won't leave in January

Meanwhile, Hazard has ruled out the possibility he could leave Real Madrid as early as January, after recent rumours suggest he could be on his way out of the club, Goal reported.

The 31-year-old winger revealed leaving Real Madrid in January will be impossible because of his family, who he says loves the city of Madrid.

Hazard still has one more year left on his current contract with Los Blancos, but has now opened the door to an early exit if he is told to leave by the club’s hierarchy.

Unai Emery interested in Hazard

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that new Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has reportedly hit the ground running, in identifying the players he would recruit for his project in Birmingham.

Emery was appointed following the sacking of Steven Gerrard, and has since taken over the training sessions ahead of his first game against Manchester United.

The serial Europa League winner has identified Real Madrid winger Hazard as a prime target for the Villans.
