In the year 2002, Eduardo's parents who are Congolese ran for their lives during the war and landed in Angola in a refugee camp where they were blessed with a promising child.

When the Real Madrid star turned 2, his parents together with other siblings moved to Fougères in France where he grew up.

Camavinga ritually started his sporting career playing Judo before giving it up to focus solely on football.

According to the report on Marca, Camavinga's mother tried her best to make him commit to Judo, but Eduardo was determined to become a footballer.

In 2013, Camavinga's parents lost all their properties after their house was burnt down and they had to start all over again in their fight for survival.

The report added that the incident was what pushed Camavinga to pursue a career in football so as to help him family out of poverty.
