According to Goal, Eden Hazard still remains the most expensive Real Madrid player to date as Los Blancos splashed a record €115m to sign the Belgian winger from Chelsea in 2019.

Real Madrid has also broken the world transfer record in previous years as Cristiano Ronaldo held the record for the most expensive player signing when he joined the Spanish giants for €94M in 2009.

Gareth Bale, Zinedine Zidane, and Luis Figo are also some of the Real Madrid players who have also held the transfer record.
